Ductless Mini-Split Systems in the Mid-Willamette Valley

A ductless mini-split delivers heating and cooling to a specific room or zone with no ductwork at all. If you have a space that never feels right, or a home that was never built with ducts, Hendrix Heating & Air Conditioning can walk you through what fits, what it costs, and what to expect.

Ductless Information

Ductless systems use a small outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units by a slim-line set. Because there is no ductwork, there is no duct loss, and each zone can be set to its own temperature. That makes ductless a strong option for room additions, older homes, shops, and any space your central system was never designed to reach.

Ductless is not automatically the right answer for a whole home, and we will tell you that plainly. We look at the space, how you use it, and your budget before recommending anything.

Trust us and ask your neighbors about Hendrix Heating.

Ductless Services At Hendrix

Ductless Installation & Replacement

Adding a mini-split to a room addition, a shop, a bonus room, or a home without ducts? We size the system to the actual space, not to a rule of thumb, and we place the indoor head where it will actually perform.

Consultations are always free.

Ductless Repair

Not cooling, not heating, water dripping from the indoor head, a blinking light, or an error code on the remote? We will diagnose it and explain your options in plain language.

Clear answers, no pressure.

Ductless Maintenance & Tune-Ups

Mini-splits run nearly year-round and their filters and coils need regular attention to keep airflow and efficiency where they should be. Ask about adding your ductless system to a maintenance plan.

Is Ductless The Right Fit? These Situations Usually Are

  • A room addition, converted garage, or bonus room your central system never reached

  • An older home with no ductwork, or ductwork that would be expensive to add

  • A shop, studio, ADU, or detached space that needs its own heating and cooling

  • One room that is always the hottest or coldest in the house

  • A home heated only by wall heaters, baseboards, or a wood stove

  • You want separate temperatures in separate zones instead of one setting for the whole house

  • You are replacing window or portable AC units and want something quieter and permanent

Common Ductless Problems We Fix

  • The indoor unit runs but the room never reaches temperature

  • Water dripping from the indoor head or staining on the wall below it

  • A blinking light or error code on the unit or remote

  • A musty or sour smell when the system starts up

  • Weak airflow, even with a clean filter

  • The outdoor unit is loud, vibrating, or shutting down

  • The remote or controller stops responding

If it is acting up, do not guess. Schedule ductless service and we will take it from there.

Single-Zone or Multi-Zone?

Single-zone pairs one outdoor unit with one indoor head. This is the common choice for a single room, addition, shop, or ADU.

Multi-zone connects one outdoor unit to several indoor heads, each with its own temperature control. This works well for homes without ducts, or for covering a few problem rooms at once.

Indoor units come in more than one style, including wall-mounted heads, ceiling cassettes, and low-profile floor units. Where the unit goes affects both comfort and how it looks in the room, so we walk through placement with you before installation day.
