Ductless systems use a small outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units by a slim-line set. Because there is no ductwork, there is no duct loss, and each zone can be set to its own temperature. That makes ductless a strong option for room additions, older homes, shops, and any space your central system was never designed to reach.

Single-zone pairs one outdoor unit with one indoor head. This is the common choice for a single room, addition, shop, or ADU.
Multi-zone connects one outdoor unit to several indoor heads, each with its own temperature control. This works well for homes without ducts, or for covering a few problem rooms at once.
Indoor units come in more than one style, including wall-mounted heads, ceiling cassettes, and low-profile floor units. Where the unit goes affects both comfort and how it looks in the room, so we walk through placement with you before installation day.

Yes. A ductless system is a heat pump, so it both heats and cools. Modern units are built to keep producing heat through Willamette Valley winters. How well it performs in your space depends on sizing, insulation, and placement, which is what we evaluate during the estimate.

Sometimes, with a multi-zone setup. It depends on your floor plan, how open the home is, and where heads can be placed. For homes that already have good ductwork, a ducted heat pump is often the better value. We will compare both honestly.

The indoor head is generally quiet, often quieter than a window unit or a forced-air system cycling on. The outdoor unit does make noise, so placement matters. We take that into account when we plan the install.

Most ductless installations need a dedicated circuit, and permitting requirements vary by jurisdiction. We handle that as part of the project and will tell you upfront if your panel needs attention.

Small. The line set passes through a single penetration, typically around three inches, sealed and covered on the exterior. It is far less invasive than adding ductwork.

Regularly. Ductless indoor units have filters and coils that collect dust and can develop odor or airflow issues if they are neglected. Annual professional service plus routine filter cleaning between visits keeps the system performing and helps protect your warranty.
